Due to the Olympics London is a flurry of
hotel openings in 2012 all hoping to be receiving guest before the first start
gun goes off. Let the game begun. We'll have more on London's finest in our
February issue. For now Bulgari's third
hotel (others are in Milan and Bali) is set to open in May, just in time for
the afore mentioned Olympic Games (naturally). Overlooking Knightsbridge Green,
the hotel will have 78 rooms and suites, a lounge bar, a screening room, a
cigar shop, private members club and lower ground floor restaurant, accessed by
a balustrade staircase. Bulgari's CEO,
Francesco Trapani, has said Bulgari London will feature 'a contemporary yet
timeless style employing a range of marbles, woods and precious materials, together
with Italian furniture and custom-made textiles. 'Silver is whispered as a
design theme, a jewellers silversmith origins perhaps. Christies International
